The rabid anti-gun left shows its truest self as it pushes for more gun control, even during a global pandemic. When pro-gun candidates win, they attack their virtue. When pro-gun legislation passes, they attack the NRA. And while much of the country exercises its Second Amendment right during a time of crisis, Giffords spokesman David Chipman attacked the people recently, inferring the wave of first-time and recent gun buyers feared the zombie apocalypse.
David Chipman Attacks American Gun Owners
Chipman said new gun buyers, “in their [own]mind they might be competent.” However, they’re really “putting themselves and their families in danger,” reported NRA-ILA.org. Chipman advised first-time gun owners to “secure that gun locked and unloaded and hide it behind the cans of tuna and beef jerky that you’ve stored in a cabinet and only bring that out if the zombies start to appear, and I don’t think they are.
“If we can imagine how horrible this crisis is … the people who hoarded the guns might decide six months from now – once they see no zombies around but they’ve run out of tuna and beef jerky – that they need the money to buy food,” Chipman concluded, according to nraila.org.
Gun and ammo sales for sure experienced a huge surge in March. Ammo sales jumped as much as 168 percent across the country. Meanwhile, gun sales climbed more than 13 percent by mid-March. A Newsy poll showed as many as one in 20 households purchased firearms in reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For many, the data paints a clear picture. When crisis comes, Americans exercise their Second Amendment rights to ensure the safety of their families. The anti-gun left reaction is also clear: they’re losing their damn minds.
From Chipman throwing off on the American people, to Alyssa Milano’s ridiculous, elitist plea for everyone to stop buying guns, the anti-gun left can’t stand what they’re seeing. Conversely, many new gun buyers seem to finally be seeing the light.
